Franchise Investment Overview

We believe in putting numbers on paper before anyone shakes hands. That’s how we’ve run TruePane Windows & Doors since Dale Kessler hung the sign in 2008, and it’s how we approach franchising. The figures below are ballpark ranges drawn from what it actually costs to stand up a residential window and door operation: a shop, a truck or two, inventory, training, and enough working capital to answer the phone and show up on time for the first twelve months. These are marketing estimates, not a legal offering. If you want exact figures, we’ll put them in front of you during the qualification process, in writing, with no fine print that covers neither side.

Estimated Startup Investment

Window and door work is equipment-and-vehicle dependent, and the numbers reflect that. A single-territory operation with two trucks, a modest showroom or office, and six months of operating reserve lands in the ranges below. Market size, real estate costs, and how much you choose to carry in inventory will move these numbers one direction or the other.

Investment Category Estimated Range
Initial Franchise Fee $45,000 - $65,000
Equipment, Tools & Vehicles $85,000 - $140,000
Initial Marketing & Launch $25,000 - $45,000
Working Capital (6-12 months) $75,000 - $120,000
Total Estimated Investment $230,000 - $370,000

Those totals assume you are not carrying a full showroom of Andersen, Pella, Marvin, and Milgard samples on day one, though you can. We built TruePane on side-by-side quotes on paper, and that model works from a garage office with a good set of sample kits just as well as it does from a retail storefront. The franchise fee is a one-time cost for the territory, the brand, and the systems. Everything else on that table is money you can see and touch: trucks, ladders, glazing tools, a brake for trim coil, and enough cash in the bank to make payroll through a slow February.

What’s Included

The franchise fee buys you the things that took us years to figure out the hard way. Here is what comes with it:

  • Brand license and name rights: The TruePane name, the Keystone Standard, and the Done Right Promise in your protected territory.
  • Initial training: Hands-on instruction in measuring, ordering, install methods, and warranty registration, taught by our journeymen, not a slide deck.
  • Launch marketing package: Local brand assets, yard signs, vehicle wrap templates, and a launch plan built for your specific market.
  • Operating systems: Our quoting process, job scheduling workflow, and the paperwork system that registers both warranty layers in writing before the truck leaves the driveway.
  • Manufacturer access and pricing: Introductions to our authorized lines, including Andersen, Pella, Marvin, Milgard, Jeld-Wen, PGT, CGI, and ES Windows, with established dealer relationships.
  • Protected territory: A defined service area where you are the TruePane owner, with the room to build a crew of local apprentices into journeymen.

Financing & Next Steps

We are not a lender, and the franchise fee is not something we finance in-house. But equipment financing is common in this trade, and third-party lenders familiar with franchised home services often cover vehicle purchases, tool packages, and rolling stock with reasonable terms. Some qualified candidates use SBA-backed loans for the startup costs, and some come with cash saved from years of running their own operation. Every situation is different, which is why we do not put a financing number in front of you until we have talked.

The process from here is straightforward. You call the number below, you talk to a person, not a voicemail tree, and we have a conversation about your background, your market, and what kind of operation you want to run. If it makes sense, we send you the qualification documents with the official investment figures and terms in writing. If it does not make sense, we will tell you that too. We would rather turn someone away than sign a franchisee who is not set up to do the work right, because the name on the truck means something.

Call (888) 635-0804 to start the conversation, or request the info kit below. We will answer the phone when you call. That is the first thing we train every franchisee to do, and it starts with us.

All investment figures on this page are non-binding marketing estimates for planning purposes only; actual investment amounts vary by market, real estate conditions, and individual circumstances, and official figures are provided in the Franchise Disclosure Document during the qualification process.
