What a Visit Actually Costs You to Find Out

Nothing. The estimate visit is free, full stop.

When we come out, we measure every opening twice, walk the job with you, and explain what we’re seeing in plain language. We’ll quote the manufacturer lines side by side on paper so you can see what you’re comparing. At the end of it, you have a written number for the full job – not a range, not an estimate subject to change. If you’d like to think it over, take it home. If you decide not to move forward, you owe us nothing. The visit costs you an hour of your time, and we’ll do our best to make it worth that.

When People Usually Call Us

This work tends to come up in one of two ways.

The first is when something fails. A seal goes, a door binds in the frame through the summer and won’t close properly by fall, a draft comes through a corner that wasn’t there last winter. Those calls happen fast, and we take them seriously – a failing window or a door that won’t latch is a comfort problem in October and a security problem all year.

The second is planning ahead. A lot of the homeowners who call TruePane have been in their house long enough to know what’s coming. They’ve watched the same window fog up for two seasons and decided to get ahead of it. They’re replacing what the previous owners installed in the nineties. They want impact windows before the next storm season, or they’re putting in a patio door while the yard project is still going.

Both are the right time to call. We don’t charge more because something is urgent, and we don’t push unnecessary work because you caught something early. The estimate is the same either way – free, written, and yours to keep.

Is the estimate really free?

Yes, completely. We come out, measure your openings, walk the job with you, and hand you a written quote for the full scope of work – no charge to find out what you’re dealing with. If you decide not to move forward, you don’t owe us anything for the visit.

Do you offer financing or a monthly payment plan?

We don’t, and that’s a deliberate choice. Every job is priced off a free written estimate – one number, agreed to upfront, no interest rate attached and nothing to sign up for. We’d rather you know exactly what you’re paying than work a monthly figure backward from a price that was inflated to cover the cost of a financing program.

Can I combine two offers?

One offer per household per visit – the offers shown on this page don’t stack. If you’re unsure which one fits your job best, just ask when you call and whoever answers can help you sort it out before we schedule anything.

Does the price change once you’re on the job?

No. The written estimate is the price. If we open something up and find a condition we couldn’t see from the outside – rotted framing behind a sill, for example – we stop, explain what we found, and give you a revised quote before we do another thing. You decide whether to proceed. No surprises on the bill is not a slogan for us; it’s the only way the job-based pricing model works.
